psychology-531071_640The Psychoanalytic Center of California (PCC) offers an intensive certificate program for mental health clinicians entitled Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy: An Advanced Training Course from an Object of Relations Perspective. This clinically oriented program will introduce contemporary psychoanalytic theory and psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy. It provides the opportunity to develop and deepen psychoanalytic knowledge and clinical therapeutic skills of intensive psychotherapy with a special emphasis on the contributions of British Object Relations Theory.

The course develops, in stepwise manner, the essential components of an object relations perspective of the psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic encounter. All courses will integrate the clinical and theoretical aspects of the subject matter, using clinical examples from the instructors and students.
