On Sunday, November 9th, from 9 am to 12:15 pm PST on Zoom, Dr. Jennifer Kunst will present an advanced ethical framework for clinical practice that is rooted in psychoanalytic principles. She will discuss the foundational legal, ethical, moral, and technical considerations that guide us as an external framework, and then suggest psychoanalytic considerations that can lead to an internal ethical framework that is dynamic, fluid, and alive. She proposes an object relations model in which a mature internal parental couple presides over the clinical situation with an ethic of responsibility and care.
