Special Events

PCC offers special events throughout the year to enhance the professional practice of clinicians, including our own members and candidates. These programs highlight the unique model of PCC that explores the British object relations model in our context here in the United States. Our programs also explore the ways in which psychoanalysis is evolving in modern times.

PCC has a robust Continuing Education program that is accredited by the California Medical Association (CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians; by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to provide continuing education for licensed social workers and marriage and family therapists; and by the California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education for registered nurses. We also offer continuing education credit to licensed psychologists through our accreditation with the CMA.

The Infant, Child, and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Program (ICAPP) offers a series of clinical courses each year for clinicians who work with children, adolescents, and families. Participants learn about ways of treating primitive and early states of mind and relationships in the clinical setting.
