Janis V Goldman, PhD, PsyD, FIPA, BCPsa is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Psychoanalytic Center of California. She is a Board Certified Psychoanalyst by the Confederation of Independent Psychoanalytic Institutes (CIPS).
She is past Secretary-Treasurer, past President of the Faculty Senate, past Chair of Membership, and has served on the Board of Directors at PCC. She currently serves on the Finance Committee. Dr. Goldman received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA and her psychoanalytic doctorate at PCC.
Dr. Goldman was clinical faculty at UCLA, where she taught, supervised, and treated psychology pre-and post-doctoral trainees for over twenty years in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry.
At PCC, she has taught “Psychosomatics” in the core training program and “States of Mind and Body” in the psychoanalytic psychotherapy program. Her areas of specialization include early trauma, sexual abuse, bipolar, depressive, anxiety, and attachment disorders, as well as reproductive health and assisted reproduction issues.
Dr. Goldman maintains a full-time private practice in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, couples, and families in West Los Angeles, CA.
