Conductor and composer Pierre Boulez, a key figure in the music world, died last week at age 90. Much has been written in the papers about him and his importance in the contemporary music world. PCC training analyst and artist, Desy Safan-Gerard, did 9 paintings based on 9 movements that Boulez composed in response to surrealist poet Rene Char’s “Le Marteau Sans Maitre.” Karnacology, the blog of Karnac Publishing, has a new post featuring her work which she believes represents a most significant achievement in her career.
