PCC Referral Service

The PCC Referral Service was established in 1987 for the purpose of offering moderate to low-fee psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to patients who could not otherwise afford them. We provide referrals for prospective patients to PCC members or candidates in training.

Psychoanalytic therapies are uniquely effective forms of treatment for people with long-term anxieties, depression along with other struggles which can result in loneliness, troubled relationships, and difficulties at work, in school and with parenting. The long-term cost-effectiveness of psychoanalytic treatment stems from the analyst’s ability to address root causes of problems and to make substantial changes in a person’s personality – the results of which can have a significant impact on the overall quality of one’s life.

The PCC is in a unique position to help prospective patients find quality moderate or low-fee psychoanalytic therapy in the greater Los Angeles area. Our training programs in adult and child psychoanalysis are affiliated with the International Psychoanalytical Association. Our graduates and candidates in training are mental health professionals who have received prior graduate degrees in their respective professions; each clinician maintains their licensure through their respective state licensing boards.

Our clinicians include:

  • Physicians
  • Psychologists
  • Clinical Social Workers
  • Marriage and Family Therapists
  • Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysts

The PCC Referral Service is dedicated to making analytic treatment available to all those interested or in need. Once a referral is made, services are provided in therapists’ private offices which are located throughout the greater Los Angeles area, including the Westside, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, and Orange County. Fees and location of services (in person or virtual) are negotiated between the patient and the provider. Those undergoing psychoanalysis with a PCC candidate in training are supervised by a Supervising and Training Analyst on the PCC  faculty.

If you are or someone you know might be interested you can reach out via 310.478.4347 or office@p-c-c.org and one of the therapists from the clinic will contact you to discuss this further, so best fitted referral contacts can be provided.
