Dr. Lundgren is a graduate of UC Berkeley, UCSF medical school and UCLA psychiatry residency. He also trained at the Tavistock Institute in London (1971- 1972), specializing in adult and couples psychotherapy as well as the Group Relations approach to group dynamics and consultation to groups. Joining the faculty at UCLA Department of Psychiatry, he co-chaired the Group Relations Leadership Training Module directing conferences for trainees in psychiatry, psychology and social work, He currently teaches the course in Group Dynamics in the core curriculum in the UCLA psychiatry residency.
Dr. Lundgren underwent psychoanalytic training at Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Institute. He joined the Psychoanalytic Center of CA in 1992 where he is presently appointed as Training and Supervising Analyst. He is Past President of PCC (1998-2002) and has served as a representative to CIPS.
